Zendaya’s Challengers Press Tour Has Been a Masterclass of Hairstyling Magic — See the Photos

A Zendaya press run is a gift to beauty and fashion lovers everywhere. We’re delighted every time the star steps on a red carpet or chats with the press at a photocall. Hair, nails, skin, makeup, outfit, tennis ball shoes — it’s all on point, every single time, and the Challengers tour has been picture-perfect proof.

Not too long after traveling the globe to promote Dune: Part Two, Zendaya and her crew were back at it. She teamed up with hairstylist Ursula Stephen for the European leg of the tour and together, they’ve done it all: morning to evening, more casual photo call to dressed-up premiere, long to short, bangs to no bangs. We’ve seen braids and bows. We’ve seen long, glamorous waves. We got the textbook definition of the ultimate retro Barbie ponytail. We even got a brand new honey-blonde hair color! The inspiration just doesn’t quit, so as the European chapter of the tour winds down, let’s take a trip down memory lane at this absolute masterclass in hairstyling.

We begin in Australia, when Z hit the carpet as a blonde, wearing a glittering green Loewe gown and eyeshadow in the same emerald hue. The fresh color was styled in a loose, side-parted updo with soft, barely-there curls brushing her face.

From there, we got a cute mod moment with side bangs and a headband, then her signature tousled lob. For the Paris premiere, Stephen added extensions and went for full glamour with the ultimate red carpet style, classic Old Hollywood waves.

In Rome, Zendaya put her twist on Hollywood’s new favorite look, the Y2K-inspired flipped-out lob. Stephen pulled half of her hair up and back, pinning it at the crown, and flipped the ends for a look that would be right at home on the tennis court. Later that day, Zendaya almost faked us into thinking she had dyed her hair back to brunette, but it was just a trick of the light; her hair was brushed back from her face and gathered in a sleek knot at the nap of her neck.

The group then jetted off to London, where we were treated to a “coqueletic” fusion of a coquettish bow and high, extra-long sporty braid. The next morning, Z was back up and at ’em in the cutest retro cheerleader ponytail with a matching set of brow-length full bangs.
