2023 was truly the year that heartthrobs stole the spotlight on the red carpet, and not just because of their chiseled arms, abs, and jawlines. All of these gents perfected their personal style, and used fashion as a medium for thirst traps. Think: Suits worn without shirts, extremely-tight polo shirts, and yes, maybe even a saucy little heeled boot, too!
Some of the year’s best-dressed heartthrobs are actors in some of the buzziest films of the year—Timmy! Jacob! Austin!—while others are the most popular musicians of the moment, like Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, or Jungkook. All of said heartthrobs really leaned into their crush status (they’re all the Internet’s boyfriends, after all) through style—meaning, they had fun with their fashion, and chose silhouettes and finishes that dialed up their sex appeal even more.
There’s something refreshing about stars fully leaning into their hotness, and giving the people what they want. When Spanish star Manu Rios attended the Ami show in Paris this summer, for instance, his little micro shorts and unbuttoned shirt said, I know exactly what I’m doing.
