34-year-old Banuelos is a remarkably successful rodeo star and equestrian. His talent? Cutting horses—or, the rodeo competition where a horse and rider must separate one cow from a herd of cattle. In 2017, he was inducted into the National Cutting Horse Hall of Fame and has made over six million dollars in winnings. Surely that gives him plenty to talk about with Hadid, who is also an equestrian with a deep love of horses.
He Comes From a Long Line of Horsemen
Just like the Hadids, talent runs in the Banuelos family: his father, Ascencion Banuelos, was the first Mexican-American inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame.
He Lives in Fort Worth, Texas
Banuelos resides in the Fort Worth area, with his horse training facility, Adan Performances Horses, located in nearby Weatherford. Back in October, TMZ captured the two walking around the Fort Worth Stockyards—a historic neighborhood complete with Western outfitters, a Luchesse store, and famous honky-tonk bars.

Not only does Banuelos ride horses, but he also trains them and their riders. It seems he’s even taught his famous girlfriend: Back in January, Hadid posted an Instagram video of her participating in a cutting horse event on a stallion named Tito. “Never stop trying new things. I feel lucky enough to have the opportunity to keep learning in life,” she wrote.
