Steam 2023 Winter Sale preview – First major discounts revealed | Gaming | Entertainment

The first batch of discounts have been announced for the Steam Winter Sale, which kicks off later this week. The festive sale starts at 6pm GMT UK time on December 21. Running until January 4, 2024, the Winter Sale features discounts on hundreds of games, ranging from triple-A blockbusters like The Witcher 3 and Rainbow 6 Siege, to indie sensations and cult hits like Dwarf Fortress and Euro Truck Simulator.

Indeed, as you can see from the trailer below, The Hunter: Call of the Wild will receive a price cut, alongside BattleBit Remastered, Satisfactory and Pummel Party.

Chaotic action games like Atomic Heart and Starship Troopers: Extermination will be discounted, as well as New World and AEW Fight Forever.

Elsewhere, Valve will reduce the price of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, The Front, Tunic, Wreckfest, The Case of the Golden Idol and The Forest.

If you stick around to the end of the trailer, you’ll notice that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Valheim and Baldur’s Gate 3 will also receive discounts in the Winter Sale.

Frontier Developments has also announced plans to take part in the Steam Winter Sale. Games like Elite Dangerous, Jurassic World Evolution 2 and F1 2023 will all be discounted for the next two weeks.
