Ronnie O’Sullivan produced a blistering performance to beat Shaun Murphy 6-2 and secure a 14th appearance in the Masters final.

Despite being highly critical of Alexandra Palace, the historic host venue for the Masters, after his quarter-final win – describing it as “disgusting” and “dirty” – O’Sullivan showed his best form of the tournament so far to dispatch Murphy in just eight frames.

This was despite Murphy securing two centuries in each of the two frames he did win.

O’Sullivan will now play either Ali Carter or Mark Allen in Sunday’s final as he chases a record-extending eighth Masters title.
