PS Plus January 2024 Extra and PS Plus games – Marvel Midnight Suns, Sonic Frontiers, Sifu | Gaming | Entertainment

PS Plus subscribers are counting down to the reveal of the Extra and Premium games for January 2024. The next batch of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium titles will be unveiled in full at 4.30pm GMT UK time on the afternoon of January 10. The PS4 and PS5 games will be available to play less than a week later on the morning of January 16. Without any leaks to go by, fans have been attempting to predict the line-up ahead of the official Sony reveal.

Indeed, in a popular but not particularly entertaining thread over on Reddit, fans have been picking out potential PS4 and PS5 games for PlayStation Plus Extra.

There are multiple picks for 2K strategy title Marvel’s Midnight Suns, which sees heroes battle against Lilith and her Hydra army.

“As The Hunter, your mission is to lead an unlikely team of seasoned Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors to victory,” reads the official description.

“Can legends such as Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Blade put aside their differences in the face of a growing apocalyptic threat? If you’re going to save the world, you’ll have to forge alliances and lead the team into battle as the legendary Midnight Suns.”

Other popular picks include Forspoken, Hades and Sifu, which always seem to crop up in the monthly predictions thread.

That’s on top of games like Rollerdrome, Tales of Arise, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland and The Last of Us Part 1.

With Sony getting ready to release The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PS5, it makes sense that the first game would join PS Plus Extra in January.

Multiple Resident Evil games also make the cut, alongside Sonic Frontiers, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Persona 3 and Persona 4, Tunic, Cult of the Lamb and High on Life.

Speaking of PlayStation Plus, the January 2024 Essentials recently made their debut on PS4 and PS5.

A strong line-up, the January Essentials include A Plague Tale Requiem, Evil West and Nobody Saves the World.

As an added bonus, the January line-up also includes the Warframe Syrinx Collection, which contains various boosters, armour plates and more.
