Prince William and Prince Harry ‘may end feud’ despite one final issue

Prince William and Prince Harry’s ongoing feud could finally be laid to rest in light of multiple health crises within the British royal family.

William’s wife Catherine, Princess of Wales revealed in March she had been diagnosed with a form of cancer.

The bombshell came a month after William and Harry’s father, King Charles, shared news of his own cancer diagnosis.

A royal source has since claimed the brothers could finally lay “one of the worst public royal rifts ever” to rest ahead of Harry’s presumed visit to the UK in May.

“Harry will be here at some point in May, and maybe before then to see King Charles,” royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun.

“The problem is the King and Princess of Wales have their diagnoses and no one knows the state of what precisely William and Harry have said to each other when they spoke briefly.

“The rumours have been that it wasn’t an in-depth talk.”

He went on to speculate the problem that stands in the brothers’ way if they are to reunite — Harry’s Canadian-born wife Meghan.

“Meghan isn’t obviously keen on visiting Britain because she is not popular here. Nor is Harry, but it’s different for him,” he said.

“If she comes there will be a huge amount of adverse publicity because of the way she has acted for the past four years.”

Fitzwilliams was referring to Harry and Meghan stepping back from the royal family in 2020 to relocate to the US, before releasing a tell-all Netflix series along with Harry’s bombshell book, Spare.

Fitzwilliams suggested Meghan will use the “excuse” of having no security in the UK, after Harry lost his bid for increased security when he returns home.

“I think security could be used as an excuse not to come, though,” he said.

“Meghan has the say. There’s no doubt Harry wishes to convey he is a very devoted family man and will put them above everything else. Just like William.

“If Meghan didn’t want to come she could never be forced to.

“It would be extremely unlikely Harry would come over with the kids without Meghan.”

The report comes after the Sussexes shared a public message for Kate following her cancer news.

Harry also reportedly “reached out privately” to extend his and Meghan’s sympathies to his brother and sister-in-law.

“Harry and Meghan have been in contact with William but their private message was simply one of sympathy and didn’t include any suggestion the brothers should make up and let bygones be bygones or that Harry should fly back to the UK soon,” royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror in March.

“There is just too much ill feeling for that. William, who is still hurt by everything Harry has said in the past, has responded but the response is very much engineered by the palace and it’s hardly the kind of warm, informal response you would expect from one brother to another.

“It’s more like the sort of communication you would get between two slightly wary diplomats.”

Harry and Meghan wished Kate well in a public statement on the same day Kate revealed her cancer news in a video message.

“We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace,” the Sussexes said.

Royal author Phil Dampier reported Harry and Meghan were at the very bottom of the Wales’ priority list when it came to Kate’s health news.

“The Sussexes weren’t told about it because the relationship between William and Harry is at an all-time low,” he told The Sun.
