On Friday police launched a new search for Zrinski, focusing their efforts on the Jenolan State Forest, about 13km north of the Jenolan Caves, in the state’s Central Tablelands region.

The search is expected to last for three days and involve help from the Dog Squad and Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit.

Police previously conducted a search in the Hampton State Forest, about 16 minutes away from the Jenolan State Forest, in May 2023.

Zrinski’s family reported her missing on December 3, 2022 after they failed to locate or contact her.

The car Zrinski left the hotel carpark in is believed to have travelled west on the M4 motorway and Great Western Highway towards the Blue Mountains.

Authorities previously released CCTV footage and images of the car in the hope of it reaching motorists who might remember seeing it on Monday, November 28, 2022 or Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Homicide Squad Commander and Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty previously said Zrinski was known to be a “friendly” person who may have sought lifts from strangers.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
