Gain fought with another female teen near Hazelwood East High School in St. Louis on March 8.

Last Friday, Gains’ family said her condition is stable and that she had been moved out of intensive care, though it’s unclear whether she has regained consciousness and the extent of the brain damage she suffered was unknown.

It was not clear whether Gains was the aggressor or target in the earlier fight.

Her combatant remains in custody at a juvenile facility facing felony assault charges. The Post said Gain and the other girl were members of rival friend groups at the school, according to a source.

Two separate GoFundMe accounts posted on behalf of Gain’s parents — who are no longer together — have raised close to $400,000.
