A source tells PEOPLE that Bundchen, 43, is “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show.”

“As always, [Bundchen’s] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted,” the insider adds.

“This past week, Gisele has been tirelessly dedicated to aiding those in need in her home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which is grappling with the worst flooding in its history. She was concerned about family affected by the devastating floods, so to hear her life being joked about was very disappointing,” the source continues.

“Gisele gave you an ultimatum. She said you retire or we’re done. When you got a chance to go 8-9 and all it will cost you is your wife and your kids, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do,” host Kevin Hart said, referring to Brady coming out of a brief retirement in 2022 for one more season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hart then joked about Bundchen’s rumoured relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.

Hart said that Brady “f—ed” coach Bill Belichick by leaving the New England Patriots for the Bucs. ”You f—ed him good. You did, Tom, you f—ed your coach, but let me tell you something people … that’s what you’ve got to do to maintain your happiness. You sometimes got to f— your coach. You know who else f—ed their coach? Gisele. She f—ed that karate man.”

Hart continued to mock their failed marriage, saying: “I mean Jesus Christ, Tom. One of the smartest quarterbacks ever played a game. How did you not see this coming? Eight f—ing karate classes a day. … Eight karate classes a day and she’s still a white belt. F— Tom. The only bruises she had were on her ass. everybody should have known it.”

Comedian Nikki Glaser — who roasted about Brady for breaking up with his then-pregnant girlfriend Bridget Moynahan in December 2006 — also relentlessly teased the former NFL star about his marriage to Bundchen.

“Five-time Super Bowl MVP, most career wins, most career touchdowns. You have seven rings. Well, eight, now that Gisele gave hers back,” Glaser said, referencing his seven Super Bowl titles.

“But sorry, Tom, the only thing dumber than you saying yes to this roast was when you said, ‘Hey, babe, you should try jiu jitsu.’ That’s gotta suck,” Glaser added, making a NFSW quip about how Brady must struggle knowing that “your ex wife’s new boyfriend can beat your ass while eating hers.”

Comedian Jeff Ross also made light of their split.

“Give it up for the lord of the Super Bowl rings, my friend Tom Brady,” he said. “A man who has so many rings, he could melt them down and forge a sword to go on a quest to get Gisele back from that jiu-jitsu teacher.”

Bundchen moved to Florida in 2020 when Brady joined the Bucs as the team’s quarterback. The mother of two (Brady is also dad to son John “Jack” Edward with Moynahan) has continued to live in the Sunshine State following their divorce in 2022.

The two have never spoken about what led to their split, with rumours that she was upset that he decided to return to football after announcing his retirement in early 2022.

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

But in an interview with Vanity Fair, Bundchen said their priorities had changed as they got older.

“When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things,” she told Vanity Fair in March 2023.

“You have to be able to laugh at yourself and I love that he is doing in this forum,” Hart said before the show aired. “I love that he is embracing the things that some people think he runs away from. It is a celebration of greatness and we are doing it in a fun way.”

Brady good-naturedly laughed through it all, but objected to a joke Ross made about Patriots owner Robert Kraft and massages.

Caught on a hot mic, Brady was heard chastising Ross when he said in his ear “don’t say that s— again.”

In the end, Brady laughed off all the barbs, telling the audience as the show wrapped: “There have been a lot of jokes tonight, but I miss the love of my life … football.”
