GMC revealed the Sierra EV back in 2022 with a promised 400-mile range, 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. That’s a whole lot of power, but it also requires a whole lot of battery, meaning it “only” has a 0-to-60 time of 4.5 seconds. Oh, and the Sierra Denali Edition 1 was also announced with a $107,000 price tag. If you were hoping to get your hands on an Edition 1 but couldn’t justify the high price, we have great news! Ahead of deliveries finally starting this summer, GMC just announced a price cut that will make the Sierra EV Edition 1 much more affordable.

Now, instead of parting with $107,000 to get your hands on a massive electric pickup truck, you only need to come up with $99,495 including destination. Take that, people who say EVs are unaffordable. This one now costs ever so slightly less than six figures. And who doesn’t have $99,000 to spend on a truck? Just dig around in your pants pockets to find the extra $495.

Jokes aside, you do actually get a lot for your money. Instead of the original range estimate of 400 miles, GMC says “through optimization of the GM Ultium Platform,” it’s been able to up the range to 440 miles. Maximum towing and payload figures are also up 500 and 150 pounds respectively, bringing the former to 10,000 lbs and the latter to 1,450 lbs. It also comes with the four-wheel steering and CrabWalk mode from the GMC Hummer EV, an air-ride suspension setup, and optional SuperCruise. It gets 800-volt charging, too, which allows charging speeds of up to 350 kW, and according to GMC, you should be able to add 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes.
