Anyone wandering through Soho last night in hopes of scoring a last-minute reservation at Italian hotspot Torrisi would’ve been turned away for a good cause—Dr. Barbara Sturm took over the buzzy, just-Michelin-starred Italian hotspot to fete the launch of a new face cream.

Sturm tells Vogue that the new Glow Cream, which launches May 2, is inspired by the success of her acclaimed Glow Drops. “I told my team to take the Face Cream because that’s amazing, and put all the Glow Drops ingredients in there,” she recounts. “And the first sample, I was like yes! I knew we had something amazing.” Thanks to ingredients like polygonum bistorta root extract, wild rose extract, triple hyaluronic acid, and light-reflecting pearl pigments, it’s even simpler for anyone to boost skin’s radiance and achieve that enviable Sturm glow.

Following a cocktail hour featuring a set by DJ Isabella Massenet, Sturm invited a host of fashion and beauty’s finest to Torrisi’s main dining room, which was decorated with white tablecloths topped with white orchids, cherry blossoms, and glowing candles for the occasion. Ahead of a feast of tortellini, black bass, and dressed endives, Charly, Sturm’s daughter, welcomed attendees with a few words for her mother: “I love you so much and I’m so proud of you,” she bid.

Sturm then stood proudly to give her own toast; thanking not only Charly for her love, but for the entire room filled with friends turned family. Diane Kruger, Nicky Rothschild Hilton, Justin Theroux, Alton Mason, and Athena Calderone were just a few of the VIPs in attendance—each supporters of the brand in their own way. “I’ll get quite emotional tonight because I feel how much love is in this room and how much I love you guys and how much this means to me,” she says. “I just want to thank you and give you all a hug.” Once the plates were cleared, guests lingered—saying final goodbyes to tablemates and, of course, walking over to Sturm for a goodbye hug. And now, the countdown begins for the next one.
