Desperate search for NSW man Adrian Banciu lost in Sydney bushland in Berowra Valley National Park for almost two weeks

An urgent search is underway for a NSW man missing in Sydney bushland.

Adrian Banciu, 33, was last seen at his Macquarie Park home almost two weeks ago on November 12.

After his family reported him missing, he contacted his family and emergency services last Friday to let them know he was lost in bushland around Berowra Valley National Park.

A major operation was launched to locate him, involving NSW Police, SES and Rural Fire Service.

Police believe Banciu was near Hornsby Aquatic Centre on Peats Ferry Rd sometime on November 13 before entering bushland off Galston Rd in Hornsby Heights.

Police said there are “serious concerns” for his welfare.

Banciu is Caucasian and about 175cm tall, with a thin build and black beard.

He was last seen wearing a maroon flannelette shirt, tan shorts and black velcro sneakers.
