Can’t get enough Fallout on Amazon? You can play the latest game for free if you hurry | Gaming | Entertainment

If you’ve been enjoying the Fallout TV show on Amazon Prime Video, then you can continue the experience for free by visiting the PlayStation, Xbox and Steam online stores. If you’re completely new to the series, then you might not realise that the Fallout show on Amazon Prime Video is based on a popular video game franchise created by Bethesda. While the original Fallout games were only ever available on PC, every game since Fallout 3 has been released on multiple platforms, including Xbox and PlayStation. This includes the most recent release in the franchise, which is an online multiplayer game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Titled Fallout 76, the game tasks players with re-colonising a futuristic world that has been devastated by nuclear war. Despite a shaky launch period, a steady stream of updates has seen the game evolve into an entertaining survival and base-building experience, which is currently playable for free for a limited time.

Available from now until April 18, Fallout 76 can be redeemed for free by visiting the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Steam.

Bethesda explains more: “Grab a friend, get into those smashing blue and yellow Vault-Tec suits and head out into beautiful post-war Appalachia.

“Play from level 2 or get a head start on your adventure with a level 20 Battle Ready Dweller and enjoy all that sweet, yet irradiating air.

“All you need to do to play is download the game on your platform of choice—Steam, the Xbox Store or the PlayStation Store.

“Once you’ve signed up for or signed into a Bethesda.net account, you’re all set to go and can freely explore all that Fallout 76 has to offer.”

If you enjoy the free trial and want to continue playing then you can purchase the full game at a reduced price.

The game is available for just £6.99 as part of the sale period, which runs until April 24.

Other Fallout games are also discounted as part of the promotion, including Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, as well as season pass content.

It’s also worth noting that Fallout 4 is getting a big next-gen upgrade later this month.
