Zoomcar brings on board Flipkart’s Adarsh Menon as president

Ford Motor-backed Zoomcar on Thursday announced the appointment of former Flipkart and Hindustan Lever senior executive Adarsh Menon as its president.

This follows the car-sharing marketplace’s recent listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange in the US.

In his new role, Menon will be responsible for growth, operations, and customer experience at Zoomcar. Menon, who has more than 22 years of experience, joined the firm after an eight-and-a-half-year stint with Flipkart and a twelve-year stint with Hindustan Unilever.

In his last role at Flipkart, Menon was heading its new businesses – ClearTrip, Shopsy, and ReCommerce – a new and high-growth mandate comprising independent diverse businesses newly acquired or launched.

“Adarsh’s diverse skillsets and seasoned leadership will play an instrumental role in continuing to scale our business. I am confident that in his new role, he will help excellently position the company as we embark on reaching new heights for our emerging market-focused peer-to-peer car sharing platform,” said Greg Moran, CEO and co-founder of Zoomcar.
