Young man fighting for life after ute filled with six teenage boys crashes in Bayview

A teenage boy is fighting for life after the car he was travelling in crashed in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The ute was filled with six teenage boys when it left the road and hit a tree in Sydney’s Northern Beaches about 12.20am, police said.

“Emergency services were called to Cabbage Tree Road, Bayview, following reports of a single-vehicle crash,” NSW Police said.

All the teen occupants of the car were injured in the crash, one critically.

“One male was airlifted to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition,” NSW Police said.

Three of the young men were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition

Two were treated for minor injuries at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

“A crime scene has been established and will be forensically examined by specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit,” NSW Police said. “Inquiries are ongoing.”
