Woman claims Diddy drugged, raped her at Las Vegas party

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman alleges Sean “Diddy” Combs drugged and raped her at a Las Vegas after-party in 2014, according to one of seven new lawsuits filed against the music mogul.

The alleged incident occurred on Memorial Day weekend in 2014. The plaintiff, who is not named in the lawsuit, lives in Arizona, the lawsuit states.

The woman alleges Combs directed her to an area with open bottles of alcohol, documents said. She had one to two drinks and felt disoriented less than an hour later. She claims she woke up the next morning and realized Combs raped her.

“Plaintiff eventually got up and realized she was naked and her general soreness was more aggravated in her genital area,” according to the lawsuit. “Plaintiff was horrified to realize she was raped by Combs.”

The woman alleges she connected with promoter “International Smoove,” and he invited her to a party at poolside lounge “Club Rehab,” the lawsuit said.

“Smoove made it clear that this was an exclusive celebrity party and plaintiff’s two friends were not invited, only plaintiff,” the lawsuit states. “Despite having some awkwardness with this prohibition, plaintiff, with the encouragement of her friends, decided to attend the party to network with the influential people there.”

The woman met several celebrities including Mary J. Blige, Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj, according to the lawsuit. The woman also met Combs, and “Smoove” invited her to an after party at Combs’ suite at the Planet Hollywood hotel.

The woman also recorded videos of Combs. Two still photos are included in the complaint.

The lawsuit describes the night taking a turn.

“Plaintiff did as was suggested by Combs and took a few sips of what she thought to be vodka from one of the open bottles, but about 40 minutes after having 1-2 drinks from the Ciroc bottle, plaintiff began to feel nauseated and dizzy, slowly losing control of her motor functions,” the lawsuit states.

The complaint includes two photos of “an actual exemplary container used by Combs and/or his agents/employees to insert GHB into alcoholic drinks.” The woman alleges she told “Smoove” she didn’t feel well and would likely need to leave soon and he directed her to an empty bedroom in the suite and told her to lie down until she felt better.

“He told her not to worry about being disturbed because the door would be locked,” according to the complaint.

The woman claims she woke up the next morning feeling groggy and sore, her entire body hurt and said it was difficult to move.

“As soon as she awoke, she saw Combs in the corner of the room, shirtless and yelling loudly and with animation at someone over the phone,” the complaint states. “He was the only person in the room with her and it was clear that someone else had been in the bed with her.”

According to the lawsuit, the woman waited for Combs to leave and returned to the Rio hotel where her friends were staying.

The woman’s friends were shocked and wanted to help her while she said she wanted to shower and rest, the complaint states. The woman alleges she slept for two days, she only remembered glimpses of her friends trying to wake her up and help her, and she was largely incoherent, according to the lawsuit.

“In the aftermath of the assault, plaintiff struggled with intense emotional pain and mental health issues, feeling disgusted and deeply depressed,” the lawsuit states. “Not a day goes by for plaintiff without thinking of the traumatic incident.”

Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee filed the civil complaint Sunday in the Southern District of New York. The lawsuit alleges battery and false imprisonment.

The 8 News Now Investigators reached out to Buzbee. A representative provided the following statement:

“The Buzbee Law Firm, along with co-counsel AVA Law Group and New York local counsel Curis Law, is filing seven cases today alleging aggravated sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation against Sean “Diddy” Combs and those entities with whom he has been affiliated. Several other individuals are referenced in the case filings but are not at this time formerly named as defendants. The cases are being brought for conduct that occurred as far back as the year 2000, but most of the events described occurred in the year 2022. The egregious conduct set out in the lawsuits occurred in New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Four of the alleged victims in these cases are male, three are female. One alleged victim was seventeen at the time of the alleged occurrence, another was only thirteen. We will let the allegations in the filed complaints speak for themselves, and will work to see that justice is done. We expect to be filing cases weekly naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare the filings.”

The 8 News Now Investigators reached out to Combs’ attorney and did not immediately receive a response.

The lawsuit points to Nevada Senate Bill 129: “Signed into law in June 2023, there is no applicable statute of limitations for victims of sexual abuse to sue in tort for claims arising from the sexual abuse.”

In addition to Combs, Daddy’s House Recordings, Inc., Combs Enterprises LLC, and Bad Boy Entertainment are named as defendants.

Combs faces federal sex trafficking, racketeering and conspiracy charges. He remains in custody in New York and is scheduled to go to trial in May 2025.
