Who is Cillian Murphy’s wife?
Murphy is married to Irish visual artist Yvonne McGuinness. They met on the set of the 1996 play Disco Pigs, which eventually was adapted into a movie in 2001, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
As a visual artist, McGuinness creates art using film, performance, sculptural and textile elements, sound, and writing, her website says.
The couple has two children: Malachy, 18, and Aran, 16. While they have lived in London for many years, they decided to settle in Dublin in 2015.

Murphy has been open in the past about the struggles of working in the film industry and having a family. He told GQ in 2019 that he was working on his work-life balance.
“That work-life balance thing is hard. I have an amazing wife and I couldn’t do this without her and her understanding. But it is a struggle…I think it is for any dad whose work takes him away, which it generally does, and which consumes him, which my work does.”
McGuinness has attended the award ceremonies with Murphy. She was spotted at the Golden Globes, where Murphy made his Best Actor speech with lipstick on his face.
