What’s The Most Fun (Not Sex) Thing You’ve Done In Your Car?

Cars aren’t very fun on their own, you know, taken in a vacuum. It’s the experiences and connections that cars facilitate which draws us all to them, right? For most people driving is just a chore and would instantly be replaced by teleportation if such technology were ever invented. There are so many great (not sex) things we can do with cars, though. We want to know the best thing you’ve ever done in your car. So tell us something great that you’ve done in your car, and don’t say anything like “your mom, in the back seat” because that’s crass.

One of my favorite in-car memories is a road trip I took in my 1976 Porsche 912E. Back in 2017 I took this machine more or less around the border of the country, running as far south as the Mexican border and as far north as Michigan’s upper peninsula, touching both coasts along the way. Without air conditioning or heat, sound deadening, cruise control or comfortable seats this trip wasn’t always easy, but it was a good time. I stopped at every race track, driving event and car museum I could find, met up with dozens of cross-country friends and saw a lot of the country I’d never seen before. I’ll remember that trip forever.

So that’s mine, now let’s hear yours. Sound off in the comments below with your best non-sexual car memory. Have you gone for a blast on a legendary race track, ran over 200 miles per hour on the Autobahn, or taken a lengthy trip in a great car? Give us your big car memories and we’ll compile the best of them later this week in another post. We’ll love you forever for it, and not that way.
