Watch Even More Cars Launch Off The Fresno Speed Bump Duo

If you’re anything like me, then you enjoy watching people do dumb things. Today’s slideshow is a followup post since people never learn: This set of speed bumps in Fresno, Calif. might be the most entertaining thing in this much-mocked town. My TikTok feed is full of dumb drivers making stupid mistakes, but my favorite genre of this are the compilations of drivers neglecting to notice speed bumps and going for an unexpected flight. – Logan Carter Read More

“If you have an argument with another car, you will win,” Elon Musk said during Tesla’s November 30 Cybertruck delivery event. This is much of the problem that traffic crash analysts are having with the preliminary crash videos released by Tesla. Cars with crumple zones will deform around their passengers, dissipating the impact and dulling the forces some before they reach a soft and squishy human body. – Bradley Brownell Read More

While a transition towards electric vehicles has steadily taken hold to combat climate change, EVs aren’t filling up city streets and highways in proportional numbers to sales. Scientific American found that gas vehicles were driven 62.4 percent more than EVs between 2016 and 2022, based on odometer readings. The environmental impact of EVs could be overestimated if electric cars aren’t being relied on by high-mileage drivers or used as daily drivers for multi-vehicle households. – Ryan Erik King Read More

Tesla Cybertruck Parts List Revealed: Repairs Are Going To Be Expensive

The stainless steel wedge future space pickup truck is here, sort of. The rapid acceleration and generally poor visibility will probably contribute to these trucks occasionally getting in scrapes with other vehicles on the roadways of America. Because the exterior of the Tesla Cybertruck is “cold rolled stainless steel,” and it allegedly forms a stressed exoskeleton, those fender benders could get quite pricey to repair. While traditional cars have deformable plastic bumpers that can easily be repaired and repainted, bent stainless will never just bend back and look normal again. It’ll need to be replaced, and it’ll be expensive. – Bradley Brownell Read More

Our old friend Doug DeMuro sure has come a long way since the days when he needed his parents to cosign a loan for the Ferrari that jumpstarted his YouTube career.
