Week 8 fantasy football waiver wire must-adds

Next week, Wilson and the Steelers welcome a New York Giants team coming off a miserable 28-3 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

2. Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers (rostered in 30% of Yahoo leagues)

Jennings sat out the 49ers 28-18 loss to the Chiefs with a hip injury, although the team could have certainly used his services. Fellow wide receiver Deebo Samuel played just four snaps before leaving Sunday’s game with an illness and Brandon Aiyuk left the game in the second quarter with a torn ACL and MCL.

While Aiyuk and Jennings have both received 25 targets this year, Jennings actually leads the team with 404 receiving yards. Samuel should be back for next week’s home matchup with the Cowboys, but with Aiyuk on the shelf, Jennings could be in for a big day against a Dallas team
allowing 28 points per game, second-most in the NFL.

3. Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers (rostered in 44% of Yahoo leagues)

A Week 5 suspension appears to have been the best thing that could have happened for Doubs, as he’s put up 14 receptions for 133 yards and two scores in two games since. He didn’t score against the Texans last week but led Green Bay with eight catches for 94 yards.

With 37.3 fantasy points over his last two games, Doubs should be a good play against a road-weary Jaguars team that’s allowing the second-most fantasy points per game (43.91) to wide receivers this year.

4. Detroit Lions Defense (rostered in 19% of ESPN leagues)

Detroit may no longer have Aidan Hutchinson to rush the passer but the team still managed four sacks and an interception while handing the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season last week.

After two straight road games, the Lions return to Ford Field to face the low-scoring Titans this week. Currently, only five teams have scored fewer points per game (17.7) than Tennessee, and no team has allowed more fantasy points
per contest (12.2) to opposing defenses than the Titans.

Good luck to all fantasy players. Please check out our post-waiver suggestions later this week.
