In late August, prosecutors laid out grisly details in court that Bhatt allegedly searched online concerning a spouse’s death earlier this year, reported InsideNOVA.com.

He is alleged to have searched Google with questions such as “how long does take to get married after spouse dies” and “what happen in the event of dying spouse.”

Prosecutors also alleged that he bought knives and cleaning supplies from a Walmart around the time of her disappearance. He sold his Tesla and attempted to sell his house as well.

The accused’s attorney countered that prosecutors are missing an important piece of evidence: Mamta’s body.

Police said Mamta Kafle Bhatt, 28, has not been seen since July 29. Her husband didn’t report her missing until Aug. 5.

Investigators don’t believe they will find her alive.
