Millions of Victorians are now eligible to receive another $250 Power Saving Bonus payment to help “drive down the cost of living across the state”.
The new round of the payment was an election promise and was confirmed a few weeks ago after the Andrews government’s success at the November state election.
The $250 payment is available to any household that compares their energy deal through the Victorian Energy Compare website.

This round is accessible from Friday, March 24, 2023.
It is open to all eligible Victorian households, including those who have received payments under previous rounds.
“We know Victorians are doing it tough with the rising cost of energy – that’s why we’ll have a new round of the $250 Power Saving Bonus, putting money in families’ pockets and making sure they’re on the best deal,” Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said in a statement.
“We’re driving down bills and putting power back in Victorians’ hands by bringing back the SEC and delivering cheap, clean, sustainable energy.”
Since the current round of the $250 Power Saving Bonus launched on July 1, 2022, more than 1.7 million households have received the payment.
When it becomes available
The payments are available via the Victorian Energy Compare website from Friday, March 24, 2023.
They will be available for a year.
