A bloodied Donald Trump was rushed from the stage at his campaign rally in Pennsylvania after what sounded like shots fired.

Soon after he got on stage, around 10 popping sounds were heard and the former president dropped behind apodium as his Secret Service detail swarmed him.

He was hoisted and removed from the stage by several agents with blood appearing to pour from his right ear down his cheek.

A post on Trump’s Truth Social account says that he “was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.”

“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin,” the post added.

Secret Service agents have killed the suspected shooter, who was was outside the rally when the shots were fired, according to law enforcement officials. Another spectator was killed, and two others are critical injured, according to Secret Service.

The shooting is being considered an assassination attempt, according to law enforcement.

In remarks from Delaware, President Joe Biden said that “there’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick.”

“We cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this,” he added.

A post on Donald Trump’s Truth Social account says that he “was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.”

“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured,” the post reads.

“It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. Biden plans to speak with Trump as he delivers remarks from police station promising more updates this evening

President Joe Biden spoke briefly from a police station in Delaware noting that he has been “thoroughly briefed by all the agencies in the federal government” following today’s shooting in Pennsylvania.

“I have tried to get a hold of Donald. He’s with his doctors. Apparently he’s doing well. I plan on talking to them shortly. I hope when I get back to the telephone,” he said.

“Look, there’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick. It’s sick. It’s one of the reasons why we have to unite this country. We cannot allow for this to be happening,” he added.

“We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this. And so I want to thank the Secret Service and all the agencies, including the state agencies, that have engaged in making sure that the people who and we have more detail to come relative to other injury, other people may be injured in the audience.”

The president said he intends to come back later tonight with more information.

“ If we don’t, if I’m not able to give, it’s not a convenient for you all. But the bottom line is that the Trump rally was a rally that he should have been able to be conducted peacefully, without any problem,” he said.

“But the idea, the idea that there’s political violence or violence in America like this is just unheard of. It’s just not appropriate,” he said. “And we, everybody, everybody must condemn it. Everybody.”
