Donald Trump has lashed out at Kamala Harris after the vice president shared a photo of herself supposedly being briefed on the impacts of Hurricane Helene.

“Another FAKE and STAGED photo from someone who has no clue what she is doing,” the former president wrote on his Truth Social platform when he noticed her earbuds weren’t attached to her cellphone.. “You have to plug the cord into the phone for it to work!”

In the picture — which was posted to Harris’ official X account over the weekend — Harris is seen making notes while on a call aboard Air Force Two.

“I was just briefed by (FEMA Administrator Deanne) Criswell on the latest developments about the ongoing impacts of Hurricane Helene,” Harris wrote in her caption. “We also discussed our Administration’s continued actions to support emergency response and recovery.”

Harris’ message continued with the Democratic presidential nominee saying she had spoken to North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper “about the ongoing rescue and recovery efforts” in his state.

“Our administration will continue to stay in constant contact with state and local officials to ensure communities have the support and resources they need,” she stated.

After Trump mocked Harris’ photo-op, other critics bashed the vice president on social media, noting that the pages in front of her were blank.

“This is the most VEEP-like photo ever — pretending to be on a phone call but forgetting to plug in the antiquated earphones while pretending to write on a blank piece of paper instead of actually doing anything,” conservative commentator Mollie Hemingway wrote on X.

“The photographer should make sure the headphones are plugged into the phone next time,” Arizona Republican Andy Biggs tweeted.

Trump toured hard-hit areas in south Georgia after Hurricane Helene pummeled parts of the southern U.S. with fatalities reported in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

As of Monday, at least 121 people were killed by the storm with the toll expected to rise as more victims are discovered.

In his response to Harris’ pensive-looking photo-op, Trump accused the former prosecutor and current president Joe Biden for abandoning Americans in Afghanistan.

“They sacrificed Americans to an Open Border, and now, they have left Americans to drown in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and elsewhere in the South,” Trump’s Truth Social post continued. “Under this Administration, Americans always come last, because we have ‘leaders’ who have no idea how to lead!”

In a follow-up post, Trump continued to seethe, calling Harris and Biden “crime creators” and bashing them for their failure to react to the catastrophic storm. “A REALLY BAD RESPONSE TO HURRICANE FROM KAMALA AND JOE!” he wrote.

Trump then promised his followers that “we will rebuild … We will emerge stronger, more united, and more prosperous than ever before.”

Harris hasn’t responded to Trump’s taunts about her lack of action on the damage inflicted by Helene, but she has taken to Truth Social to challenge him to a second debate.

In a 30-second spot posted to the social media site, the ad’s narrator says, “Winners never back down from a challenge. Champions know it’s anytime, anyplace.” As Trump is seen missing a putt on the golf course, the ad continues, “But losers, they whine and waffle and take their ball home.”

The clip then cuts to footage of Harris saying, “Well Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage. If you got something to say, say it to my face.”

Harris’ campaign has accepted CNN’s invitation for a second debate later this month, but Trump has not yet agreed to face his rival onstage.

At a glitzy fundraiser that was full of celebrities over the weekend, Harris made another dig at her opponent when she referred to Trump’s rhetoric as “the same old tired show from the same old tired playbook.”

“The election is here and let me be clear. We are going to win,” she said.
