Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl rant at Kansas City Chiefs’ coach Andy Reid back in the spotlight

The Travis Kelce blow-up that had everyone talking during Monday’s NFL Super Bowl is still making headlines

Kelce was impossible to keep out of the news during, before and after the game due to his relationship with pop megastar Taylor Swift.

And he did himself no favours mid-match, berating his coach Andy Reid in a burst of frustration that was caught on camera and splashed everywhere.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end was furious that Reid took him off after a key possession while trailing 3-0 to the San Francisco 49ers, walking straight up to the 65-year-old coach to let him know.

He physically shoved his coach and yelled something into his ear to express his displeasure.

Needless to say, the lip readers have been called in to give us the rundown of what exactly was said in the exchange.

The New York Post called in lip-reader Jeremy Freeman who told them an F-bomb was certainly dropped (just between us, this reporter could have told the Post that for free).

According to Freeman, Kelce said: “Hey, come on, you f*****, put me on.”

There was, however, an alternative version from the Daily Mail’s lip-reading expert, who again confirmed the F-bomb (which this reporter can also confirm).

“Keep me in. You f*****! I’m calm now!” was that lip reader’s opinion of how the conversation went down.

No matter how slice it and dice it, a couple of things are very certain: Kelce wanted to be on the field, in the action, and he called his poor coach a “f******”.

He also threw his helmet down onto the ground — for a second time this season following a Christmas Day blow-up — before finally taking a seat on the bench.

It wasn’t the best of looks and the ugly scene attracted plenty of commentary.

“That Travis Kelce thing on the sideline — I did not like it. That tells me they (the Chiefs) are frustrated,” Boomer Esiason said during the Halftime Show.

Later Kelce was able to laugh off the incident.

“You guys saw that?” he said.

“I’m going to keep it between us unless my mic’d up tells the world.

“I was just telling him how much I loved him.”

The pair were seen embracing after the epic triumph and Reid said it was just part of Kelce’s white-line fever.

“He came out of nowhere,” Reid told NBC Sports.

“But that’s him. He’s wound up so tight. He says, ‘Don’t count me out. I’m good. I can do this.’ I love that intensity. It radiates.”

And yes, winning certainly makes forgiving a lot easier.
