A three-bedroom home on two plots of land located on the border of Victoria and South Australia is on the market for only $65,000 — but the buyer might need to be handy with a hammer.
The home, described in its listing as offering “quiet and cheap country living”, is situated in Serviceton in Victoria but only 16 minutes from Bordertown in SA.
It includes a large lounge room with wood-fire heater and a centrally located bathroom with a bath and large vanity.

Next to the kitchen is a large formal dining area with a sliding servery window into the lounge room.
Outside is a large shed, rain water storage, gas hot water and a gate that opens up to a park.
According to its listing, the home’s most “notable feature” is the huge block of land it’s located on, which measures 2,100m2.
“Being on two titles, you can utilise both or sell the vacant allotment as all the dwellings are on one,” the listing said.
Ray White agent Hayden Obst told 7NEWS.com.au there had been a lot of interest in the house.
“It went under contract … an hour and a half (after it was listed),” he said.
Despite this, people are still calling to express their interest in case the contract falls through.
Obst said many inquiries were coming from different parts of the country, including some from investors.
The home’s listing is clear it needs a lot of work, however, with the condition of its electrical, plumbing and appliances also unknown
“If you’re a handyman and willing to put some elbow grease into it, then this one might be for you,” the listing added.
Obst said the house hadn’t been lived in for 12 months but it is “liveable the way that it is”.
