Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta maintained its upward trajectory in sales since its new version was launched in January this year. In July, Hyundai sold 17,350 units of the Creta, marking a significant increase from 14,062 units sold in the same month last year. Hyundai offers the Creta starting at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), with the top-end variant priced at Rs 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The N Line version ranges from Rs 16.82 lakh to Rs 20.45 lakh (ex-showroom). An electric version is anticipated to be launched soon, potentially driving sales even higher.
Tata Punch
Despite a substantial growth in sales, Tata Punch was unable to retain its position as the top-selling SUV. Tata Motors sold 16,121 units of the Punch in July, up from 12,019 units sold last year. The Punch comes in petrol, CNG, and electric variants, with the petrol variant being the most popular. The Punch EV, launched in January, starts at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The standard petrol variant is priced from Rs 6.13 lakh (ex-showroom), and the CNG variant starts at Rs 7.23 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki Brezza
Maruti Suzuki Brezza continues to hold a strong position in the sub-compact SUV segment. In July, Maruti sold 14,676 units, down from 16,543 units in the same month last year. The Brezza is available in both petrol and CNG variants, with prices starting at Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model and Rs 14.14 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end version. The CNG variants start at Rs 10.64 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Nexon
Tata Nexon, once a dominant player in the SUV segment, has seen a decline in popularity. Tata sold 13,902 units of the Nexon in July, up from 12,349 units sold last year. The Nexon, available at a starting price of Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), features a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre Revotorq turbocharged diesel engine. A new 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine is expected to be introduced soon.
Mahindra Scorpio-N
The Mahindra Scorpio-N remains a popular choice among SUV buyers. In July, Mahindra sold 12,237 units, including both Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic models, an increase from 10,522 units sold last year. The Scorpio-N, launched in 2022, has a high demand with a pending order of around 58,000 units, extending its waiting period. Prices for the Scorpio-N start at Rs 13.85 lakh and go up to Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end variant.
