Last week in Austin, the weather dropped below 80 degrees—a perfectly justifiable reason to celebrate. While the Texas summer heat proved less intense this year, I’m still tired of sweating immediately upon walking outside. Luckily, we’re on the cusp of autumn, and I’m reflecting that sentiment in every area of my life. As of late, you can find me working in my office with ambient fall jazz playing or purchasing my home’s first pumpkin. If you, too, are ready to head into fall but don’t know where to start—look no further. The Trader Joe’s fall 2024 lineup is here.
Navigating Trader Joe’s in the fall is a transformative experience. It can sometimes be challenging to find everything you need, fight the crowds, and not blow your budget simultaneously. Nevertheless, the effort is worth it. There are plenty of great picks beyond what’s included on this list, and luckily, Trader Joe’s has implemented an adorable fall leave price tag with all of their seasonal products this year, making it much easier to find, grab, and go.
11 Trader Joe’s Items to Stock up on This Fall
Pumpkins, cinnamon, and squash, oh my! These Trader Joe’s fall 2024 picks are everything we could have hoped for and more. On this list are new food items and classic repeats we all know and love. Make a note of your favorites and use this list for reference on your next shopping trip.
1. Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pie Spice Bagels
Last year, my obsession with the Trader Joe’s pumpkin bagels was a bit unhinged. Especially when paired with the pumpkin cream cheese spread (unfortunately, an item my Trader Joe’s quickly ran out of), these gluten-free bagels are just as good as the standard version. These bagels also taste fantastic with just a bit of melted butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
2. Cinnamon Bun Spread
I never get tired of this cinnamon bun spread. This repeat hit from last year can be used as a spread on pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, and even vanilla ice cream as a syrup substitute or just an additional topping. It has a warm, rich flavor. And trust me: a little goes a long way.
3. Pumpkin Ginger Mini Hold The Cone
The Mini Hold The Cone’s are always a great sweet treat at Trader Joe’s. These pumpkin ginger cones have an incredible flavor that pairs perfectly with the season. The ginger flavor from the cone isn’t overwhelming and complements the spiced and savory pumpkin ice cream.
4. Non-Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage
During fall, I typically stock up on enough of this pumpkin oat milk to last me well into the winter months. Frothing or warming this milk makes it perfect for pairing with your morning latte or in your cereal of choice. If you use oat milk in recipes, this fall version can also be used as a substitute to add a unique, sweet pumpkin flavor.
5. Pumpkin Bisque
Paired with a gouda grilled cheese or served on its own, this pumpkin bisque is one of my top picks this fall. As somewhat of a bisque connoisseur, I love the subtle spice blend and savory flavor that this textured bisque brings.
6. Pumpkin Body Butter
I’ve been a cult follower of Trader Joe’s body butter for years, and the coco shea body butter still has my heart. However, this pumpkin body butter gives the classic a run for its money. The lotion has the perfect texture—not too thick but still soft and spreadable. The pumpkin scent also doesn’t smell overly artificial or overwhelming.
7. Pumpkin Brioche Twist
On my way out of Trader Joe’s, I happened to glance upon this pumpkin brioche twist in the bread aisle. This seasonal loaf pairs perfectly with the cinnamon bun spread and can be used as a sweet French toast option.
8. Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew Concentrate
Coffee lovers, this one’s for you! Less is more with this pumpkin cold brew concentrate. I like to blend a bit with water and your milk of choice, adding a little bit of vanilla or caramel syrup for added sweetness. It’s quite strong, and I highly suggest looking at the caffeine content if you’re sensitive before pouring an entire glass.
9. Pumpkin Gnocchi
This may just be my overall favorite Trader Joe’s fall 2024 item, and I’ll definitely be stocking up before winter. This gnocchi makes for a super quick lunch or dinner, coated with brown butter, cinnamon, and a bit of sage, along with your protein of choice. The key here is not to overboil your gnocchi, so it stays firm and doesn’t become mushy.
10. Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese Bites
The newfound sibling of the highly sought-after butternut squash mac and cheese, these mac and cheese bites are absolutely delicious. These are great for an afternoon snack or an easy appetizer before dinner.
11. Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pancake Mix
This pumpkin pancake mix isn’t quite like Camille’s incredible recipe, but these are a brilliantly flavored and spiced option for when you need a quick morning bite. Trader Joe’s never fails to live up to my expectations in the baked goods department, and these are no exception.
