Long before the words quiet luxury were ever uttered, The Row established itself as the archetype of anonymous chic. When Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen launched their brand The Row in 2006, the goal was to create the perfect T-shirt. It’s safe to say that the mission has been accomplished and then some. The Row has become synonymous with effortless, wearable luxury.
In fact, the name of the label itself is rooted in sartorial excellence, paying homage to London’s high-class Saville Row, the British road known for producing impeccably tailored men’s suiting and exceptional fabrics. Over the years, that same attention to detail married with a love of simple silhouettes has carried over from clothing and into The Row’s coveted collection of handbags.
From the Margaux to the Sofia, there are so many luxurious styles that offer a no-fuss attitude that we’ve come to love from the brand. Ahead, we take a deep dive into all of the need-to-know silhouettes to add to your closet.

The Sofia
After moving from New York City to Paris, The Row made a chic statement for the Resort 2023 season, with the debut of the Sofia bag. The structured bag whispers chic with its clean-lined silhouette, but it’s the sparkling lock that makes it one of the most notable designs from the brand. Most of The Row’s handbags skip the flash of any hardware, but this rare jewel masters the art of glamorous ease with its metal fastening. What’s even better are the undeniably elegant variations that the bag comes in, from two-toned locks to midnight blue and chocolate brown hues. A handful of designs even come with an-easy-to-carry top handle.
The Park
Not too many good things came out of the year 2020, but The Row gave us a glimmer of sartorial hope with the debut images of The Park tote. The celebrated design is part of the Spring 2021 collection, and it stays true to the label’s lust for utterly simple designs with a streamlined bucket silhouette (some styles come in an elongated shape, aptly titled N/S for north south) and a wide flat handle strap that offers wear-all-day comfort. The highlight of everything The Row designs is, of course, the materials. This bag is crafted from a malleable leather that ages beautifully.
The Half Moon
The Row took design to the next level with its Half Moon bag. The curvy silhouette is ergonomically designed to fit snug under the shoulder. Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski are just a few of the many celebrities who are proud owners and constant wearers of the sleek design. And if you’re thinking it’s just a bag of the moment, think again. This one has been around for nearly ten years now, making its initial debut in 2014.
The Idaho Bag
Count on The Row to make a subtle carryall feel exciting. With a capacious interior and short yet wide straps, this bag is the epitome of casually cool confidence. The Idaho bag comes in durable cotton-twill or Italian leather, plus there’s a detachable pouch on the inside that will keep those small essentials tidy.
The Slouchy Banana Bag
More than five years ago, The Row’s Slouchy Banana bag made its debut in the label’s spring/summer 2019 collection. And it continues to be a favorite, thanks to a hand-free crossbody design that has malleable curves (similar to a banana) that hug the body when worn slung over the chess. Take your pick from durable canvas or calfskin leather in neutrals.
The ’90s Bag
Timeless isn’t always the antithesis of trendy. The Row checked both boxes with the release of its ’90s bag. The nostalgic design feels like a staple that a supermodel would have worn just before the Y2K era, and that retro silhouette continues to be a favorite amongst today’s it girls like Kendall Jenner.
The Margaux
You’ll be lucky to find this in-demand bag in stock. Even though it originally launched in 2018, the Margaux bag continues to pick up speed, thanks to its distinctive silhouette that comes with a logoless design. Early adopters like Jennifer Lawrence have proved just how chic the bag can make any outfit look, from a plain white T-shirt and jeans to sleek trousers and a trench coat.
