The stars flocked to the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris tonight to celebrate the Prelude to the 2024 Olympic Games. And while the many fashion professionals and athletes were to be expected, one surprising demographic turned out in droves: the dads.
Of course, plenty of the fashion folk in attendance are also fathers—Pharrell Williams, Simon Porte Jacquemus, and Pierpaolo Piccioli among them—but dads from other industries were also thick on the ground to celebrate the pageantry of the Olympics.
John Mulaney enjoyed a Dad’s Night Out in Paris, hitting the Prelude in a nude suit with a matching tie. The comedian shares his two-and-a-half-year-old son, Malcolm, with partner Olivia Munn.
Other dads opted for sporty takes on smart-casual. Judd Apatow—father to Maude and Iris, and husband to Leslie Mann—wore a greige linen blazer over a white button-up, navy trousers, and black sneakers. Meanwehile, Steven Spielberg paired a striped button-down with a striped tie (in Team USA colors), white trousers, and dad-approved sneakers. But fellow director Spike Lee really embraced the athletics of it all, in a T-shirt and graphic short-sleeve button-up, navy track pants, and sneakers. Perhaps carrying the coolest dad-friendly accessory of the night, Lee slung a Louis Vuitton crossbody bag complete with the NBA logo across his chest. (He also brought his children, Jackson and Satchel.)
They’re all Dads of the Year in our hearts!
