In the pictures, Kylie is wearing a chic black velvet tuxedo suit with a green floral velvet choker and strappy heels.

Her mum Marg is wearing a black top, shoulder wrap and tailored pants, paired with a green clutch.

Kylie admitted they had a bit of trouble with the self-timer as they tried to take an outdoors shot.

“No one is home. Just picture Mum and I trying to master the self timer. In heels! 😂,” she wrote.

“Worth it for the Opening Night of Wicked 💚🧙💚.

“Dress code is ‘touch of green’ – So my flower choker and Mum’s handbag. 💚”

Fans went mad for the elegant duo’s stylish outfits.

The family-oriented TV personality makes sure to spend as much time with her mum as possible.

In March, she surprised her mum with a special ring, featuring a sapphire her father had given her mother 50 years ago.

She shared an emotional video at the time, which showed her Mum overcome with emotion after seeing the ring.

“A story 50 years in the making,” Kylie captioned the heartwarming post.

“In the 1970s, my Dad gifted Mum a sapphire. A loose stone – from (NSW town) Inverell.

“It remained wrapped in a little brown envelope in Mum’s drawer for decades.

“I recently asked her why. She said, ‘Well we’re not the sort of people to get jewellery made. And there were always other priorities I guess’.”

Kylie said she was sure those “other priorities” were her and her sister, and “all those things that young girls need and want”.

“And Mum and Dad never put themselves first,” she said.

Kylie went on to explain that, after the death of her father, the family’s thoughts turned to the sapphire.

“Mum said Dad had always loved them (sapphires) and actually wanted Mum to have a sapphire engagement ring,” she wrote.

“That was 1963!

“We thought it was time to do something.

“Our eternal thanks to @houseofkdor for turning that little stone into something big for our family.”

Kylie then added poignantly: “We only wish Dad was here to see it too.”
