The Kaleidoscopic London-Based Brand Rixo Makes Its First Foray Into Home Decor

For co-founders and friends Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey, antique fairs like those found in Parma, Italy, and London’s Portobello Road fueled their enthusiasm for vintage silhouettes and eclectic patterns, leading them to start their UK-based clothing brand, Rixo, in 2015. Fast forward almost 10 years, and these decor-rich spaces still have the duo brimming with inspiration—sparking the idea for the brand’s next move: homewares. “From day one, Henrietta and I always knew Rixo had more to offer than just womenswear,” McCloskey tells Vogue.

Known for its printed separates and sets, it made sense that Rixo would eventually extend its maximalist perspective to interiors. Casa Rixo, the brand’s new lineup of home decor items, launching November 11, features an introductory assortment of three hero products—including motif-adorned cushions, linen tablecloths, and napkins. “Expanding into homewares feels like a natural step—bringing that same Rixo flair we love, but in a way that transforms your home easily through our love of print and textiles,” McCloskey shares.

With bold patterns, layers, and color recently making their way back into the design conversation, Rixo integrates this ethos in a way that feels authentic and reflective of the fashion brand’s roots. Peppered with Matisse-inspired patterns in two primary palettes—a toned-down terracotta and cream and primary, bright hues—the pieces add just the right amount of vibrancy to any table and are ideal for adding a quick artful accent.
