“The Black Widower: The Six Wives of Thomas Randolph” is currently one of the most popular shows on Max, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

The Investigation Discovery docuseries explores the story of Thomas Randolph, who was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon and one count of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the death of his wife, Sharon, and the hit man he hired to kill her.

“The Black Widower” moniker stems from the fact that Randolph has been married six times, and four of his wives died ― with multiple of those deaths under mysterious circumstances

“Cobra Kai” is the most popular show on Netflix at the moment following the premiere of the sixth and final season on July 18.

Starring Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, the series is a sequel to the original “Karate Kid” films, set more than 30 years after the events of the first movie. “Cobra Kai” first launched on YouTube Red in 2018, but Netflix acquired the show in 2020 after YouTube ceased its original scripted programming operations.

Adapted from a 2019 novel by Laura Lippman, the miniseries stars Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram as two women whose lives collide following a murder in 1960s Baltimore. The first two episodes were released on July 19, with the next five to drop on subsequent Fridays.

Another book adaptation premiered on July 18 on Peacock. “Those About to Die” is based on Daniel P. Mannix’s 1958 book of the same name, which also inspired Ridley Scott’s 2000 film “Gladiator” and was republished as “The Way of the Gladiator” the following year.

The new series also follows gladiators in Ancient Rome and features Anthony Hopkins as an emperor toward the end of his life. The rest of the cast includes Iwan Rheon, Sara Martins, Tom Hughes and Jojo Macari.

The Hulu docuseries “How I Caught My Killer” is back on the trending list after the release of season two on July 18.

Featuring extensive interviews with experts and archival material, each episode dives into the stories behind unique murder cases and how the perpetrators were caught. All 10 installments are now available for streaming.
