If you’re a fan of red carpets, this was the week for you: Between splashy Hollywood premieres and the beginning of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, it was an eventful few days of A-list celebrity sightings on the step and repeat. The best dressed stars of the bunch were those who leaned into seasonal summer style—choosing bodycon silhouettes that were all about accentuating the form. (Or, as Megan Thee Stallion famously raps, the body-ody-ody.)
In Paris, the splashy parties honoring the Olympic Games served up plenty of fabulous style moments. At the Prelude to the Olympics, Zendaya turned heads in a sleek black Louis Vuitton slip dress covered in shimmering sequins. Meanwhile, at the opening ceremony, Ariana Grande channeled her Wicked character Glinda in a perfectly pink Thom Browne dress. “For this look, I drew inspiration from the beloved Audrey Hepburn and classic 1950s silhouettes,” she told Vogue.
But it wasn’t just the City of Light that delivered head-turning fashions. In New York, the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere saw Gigi Hadid slip into a yellow Miu Miu set that included a buttery leather scarf top and pleated skirt. At a summer gala in France, Eiza González bared her midriff in a slinky Christopher Esber number. Okay, abs!
