Love was in the air this year—at least, 2023’s plentiful array of celebrity couple style would suggest so. There were tons of new romantic link-ups that occurred throughout the year—like Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner’s new relationship, or Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s—and even better yet? Whenever these new stylish pairs were ready to make it official, they stepped out in sync, sartorially speaking. So, in honor, Vogue is taking a look back and rounding up the very best couple style hits of the year.
Of course, some of the usual suspects made our list. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, for one, continued proving that they are the world’s coolest parents. The duo often went out together in individually-cool looks full of leather, denim, and faux fur. Meanwhile, duos like Justin and Hailey Bieber embraced a more polar-opposite approach to dressing. Justin loves his casual streetwear, while Hailey loves her sleek Saint Laurent dresses and gowns. Who says couples have to match at all times?
New couples like Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner made a big fashion impact. Remember when they starred in a Gucci campaign together? They’ve also been hitting the town in casual-cool looks that feel totally in sync. Same goes for FKA Twigs and boyfriend Jordan Hemingway. They’ve totally nailed an edgier, punkier couple vibe, and their ensembles always riff off of each other. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, meanwhile, get the award for the most-discussed duo of the year: Both have nailed the art of polished casual wear that feels wearable, yet dressy.
Of course, one of the buzziest moments of the year was when Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet were first spotted while attending Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert. Kylie wore archival Margiela, while Chalamet wore all-black. A chic start!
The takeaway from this year? Love is great and all, but it’s even better when your significant other plays dress up with you. Good style is always twice as nice. The question is: Who was your most-stylish couple of the year? Vote below.
