The Beatles’ Ringo Starr, 83, amazes fans with youthful vigour in new footage | Music | Entertainment

In a month’s time, Sir Ringo Starr will turn 84-years-old and much like Sir Mick Jagger shows no sign of slowly down on the dancing front.

The Beatles drummer performed with his All Starr Band at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas this week, where he was captured demonstrating a never-ending youthful vigour.

The music legend performed star jumps and clapped his hands as fans watched on with their minds blown.

Posted on X, author Ian Leslie commented on the footage: “Grew up in poverty. Spent much of his early life in hospital, at death’s door. Smoked.

“Was an alcoholic in middle age. Now he’s 83 and doing this. I don’t know what the moral is here.”

Express.co.uk spoke previously with Glen Ballard, who has collaborated with Ringo on some of his songs.

On being in The Beatles drummer’s presence and working alongside him, Glen shared: “He’s such a real human being. When you get in a room with him he’s just what you’d expect only more so.”

“It is intimating for me because I’ve been writing songs since I was five years old. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would get that opportunity. He seems to be getting younger so I’m trying to emulate that with good exercise.”

Ringo has also released a brand new music video for Crooked Boy which is the title track of his new EP available on 12” vinyl and CD.

His team teased: “The video blends Ringo’s visual art animations; his own archival footage from India and the United Kingdom unearthed for the Crooked Boy project; and cameos from Nick Valensi, Steve Lukather, and Edgar Winter.”
