The 2025 Mini Cooper 5 Door Looks Like A Tidy, Techy Hoot

The fourth-generation internal combustion Mini Cooper was unveiled earlier this year in three-door form, being built on an updated version of the outgoing Mini’s platform instead of the new platform of the fully electric model. As the only outstanding piece of the Mini Cooper puzzle, the nominally more practical Cooper five door has debuted, and it looks basically the same as the three door, just with two additional doors.

It retains basically the same dimensions to the outgoing model, and powertrain options mentioned in the press release remain the same as the current F55 Cooper 5 Door, with a turbocharged three-cylinder engine for base Coopers and a turbocharged inline-4 for Cooper S models. Both engines get increased power numbers over the current model, with base Coopers getting 156 horsepower (22 hp more) and the Cooper S making 204 hp (up 15 ponies).

Like the three-door model, the new 5 Door gets the same interior upgrades, which include a unique circular OLED infotainment touchscreen and all the technological advancements that come with it like a voice assistant and a new operating system. As for personalization, the interior offers three unique trim choices, the roof is available in three contrasting colors or a multi-tone roof with a gradual color gradient, and there are 11 different exterior colors to choose from.

Currently, the Mini USA website only shows the 2025 Mini Cooper 5 Door in S trim, with no mention of the base Cooper just yet. The 2025 Cooper S 5 Door will start at an MSRP of $33,200 according to the Mini USA website, which is $3,100 more than the outgoing five-door Cooper S and only $1,000 more expensive than the three-door 2025 Cooper S. Mini hasn’t yet said when the 2025 Mini Cooper S five door will hit showroom floors, but we’ll keep you posted with any developments.
