Tell us about a great winter walk in the UK – you could win a holiday voucher | Travel

It’s tempting to hunker down inside at this time of year – but getting outside for a walk is good for body and soul. Whether it’s a bracing seaside stroll or a trek across hills and through woods, we’d love to hear about your favourite mid-winter walks in the UK. It needn’t be an epic, just a route that captures the vibes of the season. Don’t feel as if you have to conjure up a hike that crunches over frost and through snow; drizzly, murky conditions are just as conducive to an atmospheric walk! The best tip will win a £200 voucher with Coolstays.

If you have a relevant photo, do send it in – but it’s your words that will be judged for the competition.

Keep your tip to about 100 words

The best tip of the week, chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, will win a £200 voucher to stay at a Coolstays property – the company has more than 3,000 worldwide. The best tips will appear in the Guardian Travel section and website.

We’re sorry, but for legal reasons you must be a UK resident to enter this competition.

The competition closes on 9 December at 9am GMT
