Taylor Swift Eras Tour raises Airbnb prices by 500 percent – full list | Music | Entertainment

Taylor Swift fans are well aware that The Eras Tour is just a matter of weeks away from finally arriving in the UK.

Beginning in Edinburgh on June 7, Taylor Swift will finally hit Great Britain to play songs from throughout her career to countless fans.

Along the journey, she’ll be hitting most of the country’s major cities, including the aforementioned Edinburgh, Manchester, Cardiff, London, and more.

However, with the fervour surrounding her arrival reaching boiling point, things are changing in the cities where Taylor is visiting.

According to an online mortgage advisor, Mojo Mortgages, Airbnb prices have increased by up to 533 percent in the cities hosting The Eras Tour.

Data from Airbnb has revealed that average prices have jumped up by hundreds of pounds just during The Eras Tour’s arrival.

Edinburgh, for example, previously had an average price of around £153 per night at an Airbnb outside of the Taylor Swift window.

Inside The Eras Tour, however, it’s a completely different story. The price jumps up to over £970 per night – that’s an increase of more than £800. This is an increase of 533 percent.

Likewise in London, where an Airbnb room would have originally cost £184, it has now increased exponentially to £344 per night.

We’ve placed the full list of Airbnb price increases below, but fans will no doubt know that if they have not already secured their accommodation for The Eras Tour, they may be out of luck.

Oddly enough, there is still time to secure tickets to the Eras Tour – no matter where you are.

Taylor Swift tickets may have sold out very quickly when they were originally released, but resale tickets are currently more than available right now.

By using resale websites such as viagogo and Vivid Seats, fans can pick out and purchase their ideal tickets – whether that’s front-standing or back-row seats.

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

With that said, viagogo also commented: “viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee.”
