Everyone is Jane Birkin-fying their bags, including Sydney Sweeney. The actor decorated her sturdy black Miu Miu Aventure tote with a charm dedicated to her pup—and Dogue cover girl—Tank. “She’s pretty much my everything. I love her,” says Sweeney. Even her Laneige vanilla lip balm has a charm: a yellow star and a little ice cream cone. “They made it for me and I’m obsessed with it,” adds the star.
The woman of the people that she is, the actor has a wallet filled to the brim with unused gift cards from her 18th birthday—from BJ’s (“’Cause I love Pizookies”), Michaels, and a gas station. “When I was 18, I was like, I have to save these in case I go broke one day,” she says.
No purse, as Sweeney knows, is complete without snacks, and given her nonstop schedule, she needs to be prepared to eat on the go. (Who cares if said snacks have nutritional value?) “I’m a candy girl. I always need candy to fuel me,” she says. “There’s always some type of candy in my purse.” Today’s pick? A bag of Black Forest gummy bears.
While many viewers may recognize items from Sweeney’s purse in their own bags, it’s pretty unlikely they have a cutout of her face covered in blood, from her starring role in Immaculate. One use for it, she jokes, is to combat Los Angeles road rage. “If I’m driving and someone’s, like, honking at me, I’ll turn,” she says, holding the mask up to her face. That’s not it for her many costumes. “Doesn’t everybody carry a wig in their purse?” she says, throwing the brown curly mop over her head.
