The management of a Crust Pizza franchise in Sydney’s Lower North Shore said an incident in which pigeons were videoed eating from pizza toppings stored behind the counter “won’t happen again”.
More than 36,000 people have liked the video captured of Crust Pizza Neutral Bay posted online on the weekend to Instagram and TikTok.
It shows the door of the pizza shop open and two pigeons eating various toppings behind a glass window.

People on social media unleashed their disgust.
“Never eating Crust Pizza again,” one person said.
“This is wild,” another person commented.
A spokesperson for the store told 7NEWS.com.au they were aware of the video circulating online.
They said the store’s front door was left open for a short period while a staff member was working in the back kitchen.
“The door was left open accidentally, and the pigeon just flew in straight away.”
“That was an unfortunate day … since the incident has happened, we have taken some precautions so it won’t happen again.”
He said staff had been instructed to keep doors closed when possible and keep lids on topping containers.
