The sensory toy was created by the popular presenter’s midwife, Sue – and has been put through its paces by the gorgeous toddler.

In the first video, Tom is seen playing with the koala in an open drawer before giving it a sweet hug.

“Give him a cuddle!” Bartholomew can be heard saying.

But in the next video, little Tom gives the koala a dose of “tough love”.

The toddler is seen jamming the koala’s head in the drawer, before whacking it against the cupboard and jamming it inside.

“What are you doing with him?” Bartholomew says.

Laughing, she adds: “Uh-oh. Goodnight bear.”

Bartholomew congratulated her midwife on “creating such a resilient toy!”

Speaking of the Calma Koala, the Sunrise favourite said: “It’s a teething, sensory, rubbery toy for babies and has become an instant favourite in our house.”

Bartholomew and husband Neil Varcoe welcomed Tom in March 2022, joining his two-year-old big sister Molly, was born in 2019.
