Sunrise host Nat Barr spills on Seven boss’ nervous reaction to Sam Pang’s Logies speech

Sunrise host Natalie Barr has revealed the nervous reaction of one Channel Seven boss to Sam Pang’s opening monologue at the 63rd TV Week Logies.

Pang has been widely applauded for his hosting performance at the Logies, which saw him roast many of Australian TV’s biggest stars.

Discussing his performance live on-air, Sunrise presenter Edwina Bartholomew said he was “so good”.

“Had the audience in stitches, did not hold back as he worked the room with hilarious jokes,” she said.

“Taking a few digs – taking lots of digs – at Aussie TV veterans, including Kochie.”

Eddy added: “I think the best thing about him is that no-one was safe. He was so funny, gosh I laughed.”

Sunrise host Matt Shirvington agreed, saying: “He nailed it.”

Nat then revealed how Pang left some ducking for cover.

“We were sitting next to the big Channel Seven boss and some of the time he had this going on,” she said, placing her hands over her head.

Shirvo added: “And a few ‘Oooohs’ and ‘Aaaaahs’. And a lot of laughs.”
