If you’re yet to visit the magical world of Barbieland, you’re in for a treat.

And now, your experience could be made even better thanks to a viral hack offering Event cinema-goers $12 tickets.

The hosts of the Two Broke Chicks podcast Alex and Sally recently revealed that using the popular ShopBack app can get you a 50 per cent discount off Event Cinemas tickets at select cinemas.

This means that instead of paying for a regular ticket – which can cost anywhere from $24 to $30 for an adult ticket at prime CBD locations – you’ll pay just $12.

And even better, the deal works on any movie that’s out right now, meaning you could go and watch the blockbuster Oppenheimer too.

To try the ShopBack hack for yourself, ShopBack say you simply have to download the ShopBack app, search for Event Cinemas and go to the “Cinema Voucher” section.

Then, select the movie you want, click on the Event Cinemas Adult Voucher and enjoy 50 per cent off.

ShopBack highlights that if you’re paying in person, you can show the cinema staff your voucher barcode to choose your seat, but if you’re booking your seat online you will need to pay an additional booking fee.

Alex and Sally tried out the viral hack in a prime Sydney location and later shared the tip with their avid listeners.

“Run to the ShopBack app to score $12 Barbie movie tickets!” they wrote in an Instagram post.

“Please read the Ts and Cs as always.”

And it wasn’t long before hundreds thanked them for the tip and said they would definitely try it out:

“These Barbies are thrifty!” one person commented.

“Omg YES,” another added.
