Rock music legends… they’re just like us. No, seriously, they are. Stevie Nicks—aka the first woman to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice (!!)—just revealed she wants to see more of the Prime Video series Daisy Jones & The Six.
In case you haven’t heard “Look At Us Now (Honeycomb)” while scrolling on your TikTok FYP and/or haven’t had a chance to binge the series, Daisy Jones & The Six is based on the novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid and follows the whirlwind of a fictional ’70s band as they rise to meteoric fame. Of course, there’s a will-they-won’t-they element that ensues between the two lead singers of the band, Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin) and Daisy Jones (Riley Keough), which raises stakes and creates tension in the band’s dynamic.
While the show hasn’t been confirmed to be directly based on any real-life rockstars, there are similarities between Daisy Jones & The Six and Stevie’s own band, Fleetwood Mac. As the whole world watched Taylor Jenkins Reid’s words come to life on-screen, so did the “Edge of Seventeen” singer. Stevie took to Instagram to finally react to the show (don’t lie, you were anxiously anticipating her notes like I was), and it’s everything a Fleetwood Mac/Daisy Jones fan could want.
Stevie revealed that she not only watched it once but twice— ya know, for good measure and such. “Just finished watching Daisy Jones + the 6 for the 2nd time. In the beginning, it wasn’t really my story, but Riley seamlessly, soon became my story,” Stevie wrote alongside a photo of the cast. “It brought back memories that made me feel like a ghost watching my own story.”
“It was very emotional for me. I just wish Christine could have seen it. She would have loved it. Hopefully it will continue…” she continued, referring to her close friend and Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Christine McVie, who passed away in November 2022.
Several people involved with the series, from producer Reese Witherspoon to cast members like Riley Keough, shared sweet comments under Stevie’s post.
“Oh my stars , Stevie !! ✨This means the world to the whole @daisyjonesandthesix team! Thank YOU for cutting the path!” Reese commented, while Riley simply hit the following series of emojis a few times: “😍😍😍😱😱😱😱😱🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.”
Suki Waterhouse, Camila Morrone, and Sam Claflin also left emojis under the post while fans couldn’t contain their excitement over Stevie’s acknowledgment.
“Stevie approving of Daisy Jones has made my year,” one fan wrote, while another posted the realest comment there ever was: “If Stevie Nicks says to continue Daisy Jones & The Six, there is no choice BUT to continue Daisy Jones & The Six 🫡.”
I am patiently waiting for Prime Video to enter the chat and grant us a second season… obviously because Stevie said so.
