Steam Summer Sale 2024 start time, dates and all discounts announced so far | Gaming | Entertainment

PC gamers are counting down to the start of the Steam Summer Sale, which kicks off very soon. While we’ve already had summer sales from Epic, Sony and Nintendo, the Steam Summer Sale is something a bit special. That’s due to the sheer number of games on sale, and the size of the discounts available. Indeed, if your Steam wishlist is packed to the rafters and you’ve got money burning a hole in your pocket, then get ready for the biggest video game sale of the year so far. The 2024 Steam Summer Sale has a June 27 start date and a July 11 end date. It all kicks off at 6pm BST UK time, so maybe hold off just a little longer if you’ve got your eye on a particular game.

Valve explains more: “Now that we’re past the summer solstice, it’s time for us to announce the Steam Summer Sale!

“Starting this Thursday at 10am Pacific, check out thousands of sunny discounts, a brand new set of (seagull!) stickers, new profile goodies, and the return of the cat.”

As you can see from the post above, Steam customers can earn various bonuses during the event, including profile stickers and other digital goodies.

Of course, the real appeal are the discounts, and we already have a pretty good idea about what to expect on that front.

Indeed, a new Summer Sale trailer sheds some light on just a few of the games that will be reduced as part of the upcoming event.

As you can see from the video below, this includes atmospheric platformer Rain World and “Pokemon with Guns” adventure game Palworld.

Other games on sale include iRacing, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Supermarket Simulator and Kebab Chefs! Restaurant Simulator.

That’s on top of the recently released Manor Lords, as well as The Planet Crafter and Stellaris.

Finally, Valve has confirmed plans to discount the likes of Content Warning, Party Animals, Ultimate Chicken Horse, Roboquest, and the superb Batman Arkham Knight.

Interestingly, Valve will reportedly introduce a new category in the Steam Summer Sale, with “Deep Discounts” getting the spotlight.
