Steam Halloween Sale 2024 start time, dates and early Scream Fest discounts | Gaming | Entertainment

One of the big annual Steam sales is about to begin on the PC gaming platform.

The Steam Scream Fest for 2024 is scheduled to begin at 5pm GMT UK time on the afternoon of October 28.

Focusing primarily on survival horror games and spooky adventures, the Steam Scream Fest will run until the same time on November 4.

While it’s not quite on par with the Steam Autumn Sale coming later in November, the Steam Scream Fest is always a popular sale with fans.

Customers can grab discounts on hundreds of horror games, and just in time for Halloween.

Indeed, some of the discounts have started early. Third-person horror game The Chant, for example, is reduced to just £4.39 ahead of the Scream Fest. That’s a saving of 80%.

Elsewhere, horror fans can grab discounts on titles such as Back 4 Blood, Dead by Daylight, Don’t Starve Together, and Dredge.

Back 4 Blood is down to £4.99, Dead by Daylight costs £5.99, Don’t Starve Together is £3.73 and Dredge costs £13.19.

The original Blasphemous is also available at a discounted price, costing just £4.99.

Sadly it may be too soon for a discount on Silent Hill 2, which launched just a couple of weeks ago.

The Silent Hill 2 remake has been praised by fans and critics, so fingers crossed we get a small discount as part of the Scream Fest.

On the plus side, fans can expect big discounts on games such as Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 3.

That’s on top of potential discounts for the likes of Still Wakes the Deep, which is currently on my wishlist.

Other horror games I’m hoping to pick up include Signalis, which should receive a decent discount as part of the Halloween sale.

I’m also thinking about grabbing Condemned Criminal Origins for my Steam Deck, which was one of my favourite horror games on the Xbox 360.

Here’s hoping Cryptmaster, Fear the Spotlight and Crow Country get discounts, because I’d quite like to try them out.
