Snoop Dogg collaborating with Rhode Island jewelry business

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Famous rapper and media personality Snoop Dogg is collaborating with Rhode Island entrepreneur Carolyn Rafaelian on his new jewelry brand, “Lovechild.”

Rafaelian is known for founding the jewelry company Alex and Ani, although she is no longer tied to the company.

Rafaelian launched a new jewelry company called Metal Alchemist in 2022. The company’s website says it is “rooted in the heart of Rhode Island, the jewelry capital of the world.”

In a press release announcing the collaboration, Rafaelian revealed that she was connected with Snoop Dogg through Larry Jackson, the CEO of the media company “gamma.”

“It was pure creative chemistry,” Rafaelian said of her partnership with Snoop Dogg. “We’re each driven by a commitment to empowering others and creating something meaningful.”

Every Lovechild piece will reportedly be crafted by metalsmiths in Rhode Island. The release noted, “every detail of Lovechild, from jewelry to packaging, is also proudly produced in Rhode Island with eco-friendly practices.”

The designs will be unisex and offered in multiple sizes. You can check out Lovechild by clicking here.
