Skoda Kylaq bookings open today: Check price list, features and other details

Bookings for Skoda Auto India’s latest offering, the Kylaq sub-compact SUV, are set to open on Monday at 4 pm.

While the company has only disclosed the starting price of the entry-level variant at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the complete price list for all four variants—Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige—will be revealed today and updated accordingly.

The Kylaq is entering in an already crowded segment of sub-compact SUV segment, taking on established players such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

Deliveries for Kylaq are scheduled to commence from January 27, 2025.

Kylaq features and highlights

  • The Kylaq is built on Skoda’s MQB-A0-IN platform, a localized architecture developed for the Indian market. Compact yet spacious, it measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, 1,575 mm in height, and boasts a wheelbase of 2,566 mm, along with a ground clearance of 189 mm.

Kylaq’s Design

The Kylaq’s exterior design reflects Skoda’s signature styling cues. A bold grille, sleek LED DRLs, and split headlights dominate the front fascia. The rear showcases L-shaped LED taillights, a prominent ‘Skoda’ badge, chunky rear bumpers, and roof rails. The overall design resembles a scaled-down version of the Skoda Kushaq, with subtle tweaks to set it apart.

On the safety front, the Kylaq offers:

  • ABS with EBD
  • Traction control
  • ISOFIX child seat anchors
  • Three-point seatbelts for all passengers
  • Reverse parking camera with sensors

Engine and Transmission

The Kylaq features a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 115 hp and 178 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Skoda has said that the SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 10.5 seconds.
